It would seem one would have to spend quite some time in these forums to make a determination like that.”

Exact age can be used to easily narrow down contextual clues.
When do we post? You’ve got an idea of the time zone we’re in.
How do we write? Subtle markers can tell you where someone’s from (in my native language, down to a 50km radius).
What topics do we opine on apart from anal? etc …
Will someone go to all this trouble? Most probably not. But stranger things have happened than someone thinking “hey, this guy in this forum reminds me of this dude I know in real life …” and then see if they can find out more.
I once posted a question in a very different forum, and someone gave an answer no one liked. He then got into an argument with another user, who went through my entire post history just to prove a point, drawing conclusions as to what kind of a person I am. It was a chilling moment. Dude didn’t care about me at all, he just wanted to win an internet argument.
But if someone did “care” about me … well, it wouldn’t be pretty. I try to keep my data trail minimal.

Good question… age is just one of many variables someone could piece together to guess who someone might be on any social media. Same thing for years of marriage and specific town and state. The more specifics, the more likely someone could make a guess. It’s highly unlikely that happens, of course, but no need to increase the likelihood of that ever happening. I use the internet for research and investigations professionally and it’s easy to find someone with enough specifics.
The ability to be completely open about this wonderful lifestyle we discovered is cathartic. It gives people who have a common passion about an incredibly intimate sexual act the opportunity to share their experiences without judgement. Well I think there is about a 1 to 10000 chance anyone will guess who you are by age and place where you live.
And furthermore someone will have to do all this trouble to get that info. That person would have to be pretty determined to do this.
Like let us take Ryan. He is the founder of a sextoy brand Colt uses. So gone is his anonimity here. Colt bought custom work from him and stated it. So Ryan now exactly knows who Colt is.
On the other hand, have you ever tried tracking someone down that you know by full name, but never was on social media or doesn’t have google search results ? Impossible to find.
Save to say I don’t think anyone is going to do so many efforts to find out our identity.

I agree. However, I hope you understand/respect my desire to remain as unknown as possible. With my order information and description of what I purchased, I’m sure Ryan could throw me under the bus in a very public way on this and other massive outlets, but I trust him and the members of this group.
I’m 51. And it seems many men (at least active ones) are already bit older and found their perfect partner in later in life. So for all eager younger men, just be patient it will come to you too. 52 here. I don’t need to hide my identity because of the industry I’m in, and I’m not affiliated with any organizations that would frown upon it. My business info is public record, and my home address is on the shipping labels lol. As for knowing customers’ activity outside of the business bubble, I completely respect their confidentiality and would never mention names or info.
