If a trans girl has been churgically altered to have a pussy, is she then a girl ?
If a trans man has a churgically created penis. Does that make him a man ?
What I want to say is, does the “trans” prefix vanish after surgery or do they stay “trans”.
I believe they keep the prefix and just say they’re fully transitioned or had top and bottom surgery. But I’m sure there is variance.
Trans women are women, and trans men are men — even if they never undergo bottom surgery.
The prefix “trans” simply indicates that a person’s gender is different from the biological sex.
Trans men and women are not obligated to disclose that they are trans. Chances are, you’ve already met or interacted with trans people without even realizing it — unless they choose to share that part of their identity, you simply wouldn’t know.
As for me, I’m just beginning my transition, and I don’t plan to have bottom surgery. For me, the risks and recovery aren’t worth it — plus, I enjoy anal sex, so it’s not something I feel I need. And regardless, I’ll still be a woman.
Obviously, no obligation in normal social interaction. I think at some point, if the relationship is approaching intimacy an obligation forms. When naked it would be self evident, if reassignment surgery hasn’t been done. Though, before this, if the object is to meet with a view to form an intimate relationship or a just physical one for a casual or regular hookup, it needs to be out in the open. It would seem only fair for the other person as well as for your own benefit to avoid an awkward confrontation.
The question, for a trans woman, with reassignment surgery, when does that obligation arise? Casual hookups; probably not, but anything that could become a “relationship” I think there will be regrets if it is done later and after a sexual relationship has started.
This all has to do with honesty. It’s a simple a that. If you are bi polar it’s similar. Not telling a potential partner this, is pulling them into the deep with hou, without scooba gear. Somebody will drown.
