Plugs and Anal Toys

I’ll share my thoughts on plugs and anal toys in detail. My work requires me to research so I check out aspects of everything I buy, especially when it ends up in my wife’s sweet hole. We prefer and use metal and glass plugs and never use silicone plugs.

Glass plugs

Glass plugs should have a thick neck because glass breaks. Ouch if it’s in her ass! Make sure it’s made of borosilicate glass and find a vendor that makes their own glass plugs. No pun intended but this shit goes in your ass! Hope we can add pics to the site because I’d be happy to share our collection.

We use glass and steel plugs to stretch her hole in 69 position. She doesn’t “wear” the glass plug but enjoys the stretching of insertion and removal. She’s an anal pro now so we only have a 2” diameter thick neck glass plug.

Metal plugs

Metal plugs can be made of stainless steel, aluminum, and plated metal. Jeweled plugs are jewelry for her sweet ass.

I do not recommend buying inexpensive metal plugs. These will be plated with a thin layer of chrome over a base metal plug. The base metal is often pressed metal powder into the desired shape. The thin necks on the plugs can break. Remember, this goes INSIDE your body. The razor thin/sharp plating can flake off and lacerate the sphincter. Does this happen often? No, but when it does, do you want it to happen to you? If you enjoy anal play and sex, try to buy the safest and best for your ass.

You can find some quality aluminum thin neck plugs that will not break like the pressed metal plugs. I bought her a 1.5” diameter (sorry, not metric literate) aluminum plug from a high quality vendor I’ll provide a link below. She doesn’t use it because it’s too light and doesn’t have the “presence” her much heavier stainless plugs do.

Stainless plugs

Thin neck stainless plugs are her/our favorite. She had two wearable plugs. One jeweled 1.5” diameter plug that weighs a full pound. For naughty sessions she wears a 1.75” diameter plug with a T-handle. She doesn’t wear it but I got her a massive jeweled stainless plug weighing in at 2 pounds. She likes a good stretch now and then. These plugs are literally works of art and not inexpensive. Here’s the thing… we use them to do our very favorite thing as a couple. I’d give up eating out for a month and buy quality.

I know of two quality vendors for stainless steel plugs. Rosebuds in France is our favorite. If you want to treat your significant other, or yourself, with a work of art and craftsmanship, buy from them. Long time members know I’ve always recommended them.

NJoy is a company that produces high quality stainless plugs. The surgical stainless steel is the same quality as our favorite vendor but the NJoy is not jeweled. The T handle makes it safer than a round jeweled base. Early in our AO relationship her ass swallowed a smaller plug during foreplay but she squatted and pushed it out. She knows her ass better now and safely wears the bigger jeweled plug. They also make a 2” diameter plug if you’re interested.

I hope this information is helpful. I’ll add another post about the anal dildos and toys we use and recommend.

Trying different things takes a little time, but eventually you’ll develop a nice “tool kit”. I have a tool bag carefully packed with most of our toys. It’s quite heavy.

Repeating what I strongly believe, spend more to get a quality plug. Splurge on something that can deliver such intense pleasure.

I included the same link twice. Here’s the link and exactly the same 1.5” diameter plug my wife wears

I want to second how important it is to buy quality. The adult toy industry is in many ways an unregulated free for all. But these are things you put into (regular, extended) contact with the most absorbent part of your body, and also those that are most sensitive. The only field where products like that are generally sold and tested for their safety is the field of medicine. But toys are not sold as medicinal products, far from it. “For novelty use only” is a phrase that will get manufacturers out of any responsibility for harm caused by their product.

So chose carefully. Just one example: “Jelly” toys are still sold often. They are squishy, sometimes a bit sticky, and translucent in a number of bright colors. Manufacturers may call the material “silicone”, but silicone is never translucent. They may claim their product of phthalate-free but that, too, is impossible, since you won’t get that kind of jelly-like feeling without phthalates. And what’s wrong with those? Over time, jelly toys sweat out these additives (that process is just as unappetizing as it sounds). That’s why they’re often sticky. Put them up your hole and there, the phthalates will be absorbed. High levels can change hormone levels and even cause birth defects.

In case of toys, spending enough money is worth it in the long run; you’ll get a toy you really enjoy using, not something you don’t even want to touch because it’s gotten sticky after six months.

More than ten years ago, I bought a cheap plug, barely used it and threw it away quickly. I then got myself an njoy plug. and it’s still my most-used and favorite toy in my anal toy collection. Sure, it was expensive. But it was a great investment in fun and enjoyment, whereas the cheap plug, well, I could’ve thrown away the money directly and would’ve gotten almost the same effect.

Well said! To your point about absorption, some people put drugs or even alcohol up their bums instead of injesting orally to get a faster high. Electroplated metal plugs often contain higher concentrations of nickel. Many people are sensitive to nickel containing jewelry that irritates the skin. To @aNewFrivolity point this nickel can be rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream through the thin, blood vessel lined rectum.

I take our anal pleasure seriously. This includes the health and safety of her ass.

Just giving my entire toy collection the side eye now. I’m so glad I’ve always prioritised quality.

Clever miss!

I used to be active on a discord server focused around sexology and Q&A stuff, and I still have nightmares of young men posting their home made toys with the question “is this safe to put up my butt?”

Always prioritize safety and quality.

Those of us raised very modestly and of Scottish decent find it hard to pay full price. I have purchased numerous less expensive plugs and some seem fine and some not so much and away they go. However, I did take Colt1911’s advice and recently shelled out $150 for a stainless plug from Rosebuds. Has not yet arrived but will report after the new year.
The point is well taken about putting things in your body that are crap or harmful.

Rhis applies to pretty much anything you put on (or in) your body: you only want to use what won’t harm you. At the end, you have to remember that is your body. If you want to treat it wellz you may use good or the best for your body.

Please let me know what you think. You won’t believe the quality and weight of these plugs. Best thing I ever bought for Mrs Colt’s ass.

They’re so heavy and solid, a woman could use one for self defense… although if the plug is “holstered” in her ass it would make deployment of the “weapon” quite difficult.
