The Long Run… I may have to check that out. I’ve been poking around Eagles music but have only managed to listen to a handful of scattered songs. If that’s a good album though, I’ll give it a listen.

I’ve been ordering a lot of albums lately.

There are the 3 albjms by Falling in Reverse that I’m enjoying now.

The new one of Ghost just arrived. Bought it on purple vinyl.

Then there are 3 records coming my way by Sleep Token. That band sound interesting to me.

And a moment ago I’ve ordered the latest Linkin Park album in petrol blue.

From what I remember, Don Henley is the only original member left. Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmitt are still going despite posts everywhere that Schmitt is dead. They also have Deacon Frey and Vince Gill as band members plus quite a few touring maestros!

You’re exactly right. Tim Schmit was successfully treated for throat cancer years ago. I’ve never seen the Eagles, but I’ve seen Joe Walsh when he was with the James Gang and then solo ten years ago. Even though Henley is the only one left, I’d like to see them. They’re playing at the Sphere in Las Vegas this fall. Maybe a bucket list show for me and Mrs Colt. The great bands from my era are quickly disappearing. Mortality is a bitch.

New Sleep Token album arrived today. Special kind of music. Here is a song from the album wich seems odd time signature, but in fact the song is 4/4. The drummer is very taleted and plays the accents on the snare in weird places. Making the song sound very complicated.

I love these kind of musicians

Try to get to see them before its too late. Joe Walsh is like a cockroach, indestructible but the rest of the band aren’t!

We may do that. I saw Walsh twice with The James Gang in the 70’s. The second show, Walsh was so wasted he did like three songs and had to end the show. I was disappointed, but just a little less wasted than he was so still had a good night.

Your classic rock acumen is impressive! I’m stuck in that era, with the exception of alternative rock that came a bit later.

One of my favorite guitarists, Tommy Bolin, was part of The James Gang. The cut below is from his solo album released just months before he died of an overdose. Typical, extended tune from the 70’s but one of my favorite songs. It must be played loud.

I was just given the “Mardi Gras” album by CCR. Now I’m just waiting for my husband to him up the speakers to the turn table so I can listen to it.

A John Fogerty concert is on my bucket list. Great music.

LOL! My eldest daughter is a keen follower of Sleep Token. Has a few of the bands merchandise that she wears.

Here’s a great tune from a popular UK band, The Cult. This would be a good tune to play during a good anal pounding.

I mentioned earlier the I liked this song. Dale and I enjoyed anal sex to this song yesterday. It starts off slowly (got warmed up) then bang, he went for it right with the song. It was a lot of fun.

It’s a “heady” tune. I read Tool is a progressive, alternative, and psychedelic metal band. This is a heady tune from a psychedelic rock band in my day. Heavy on the synthesizer. Another great band from the UK. I’d say the vast majority of my favorite bands and artists from the classic rock era are from the UK. Shoutout to my buds on the other side of the pond.

Here’s an oldie but goodie. The first truly psychedelic rock song IMO. I remember smoking weed in a friend’s garage while this song played on an old, portable record player in 8th grade. Fortunately, the weed (and the music) has gotten better. Gotta love the 4K video accompanying the song.

Last music share for the day. Here’s another psychedelic rock song from Spirit released in 1970. When it played on radio (AM stations for me until WXRT in Chicago transitioned to rock and alternative on the FM radio in 1972… a revolutionary improvement at the time). Radio versions combined two songs from the underrated Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus album. Looking for others to share music.

Just this Saturday a friend came over and we spun some records. She was trying desperately to convert me to the Moody Blues. Didn’t work. Ah well. We did quite agree on Jack’s Mannequin though, and Gordon Lightfoot.

It was fun though, just sitting around listening to records. Then after awhile we went and hit up a local record store and she got CCR. Fabulous Saturday!

Tell your friend to check out the Graeme Edge Band “Kick Off Your Muddy Boots” album if she likes the Moody Blues. Two band members came from the legendary band.

I’ve shared music from my era but I like newer alternative and progressive rock, regardless of when it was produced.

Check out this music from Poe off her Haunted album. The songs integrate recordings her deceased father narrated for her and her brother. It’s unusual, but it works well. This tune is from one of my favorite albums.
