Indie glass maker here, let's talk anal plugs and toys!

Hi all :wave:t2: I’m a glass artist and have been making sex toys exclusively since 2004. The majority of my collection is anal related, and I feel I have a pretty good grasp on the designs, but there is always room for improvement. Let me know what your favorite shapes & sizes are and how you like to use them. I’d love to get your input!

Straight to the butt … and market research :stuck_out_tongue:

I was going to message your website. I’d love to get Mrs Colt the studded dildo but with a total diameter closer to 1.75”. Can you increase the diameter of the shaft but maintain the same height of the studs on the piece? 1.75” is her sweet spot. It satisfies her sweet spot too!

Wish you did silicone as well for travel. Glass and stainless steel plugs don’t go well together in a checked bag. I know there are protective bags but I pack tight and don’t want to take up space, and I don’t trust baggage handlers.

And while I openly discuss details of our anal only experiences in this group, I’m not quite ready to take our travel toys through security with a carry on! I’m sure the x-ray screeners have seen stranger things but I’d rather not be embarrassed when the screener discovers grandma and grandpa are anal freaks!

For home use, she much prefers glass in her ass. Your studded dildo at +/- 1.75” would be a nice gift for her and will replace a cheaper glass piece I purchased because I thought you stopped making glass. Glad you joined the forum.

Something I’d like to see more of in glass toys in general are t-handles instead of flared bases.
Unless the flared base is really wide, there’s always that moment where you feel the toy might go too deep.

Plus, a flared base is always a bit uncomfortable when the cheeks try to close around it.

I noticed a dildo with a t-handle as a banner on your site, was that a custom order?

If we had flairs or nicknames, I would nominate “grandpa anal freak” for you

I can’t change the shaft diameters, those remain the size of the glass rod used to make the piece. I’ve also limited the texture to my medium size dildos (1.25" diameter) because the larger ones are too heavy for me to hold that long in the flame. It takes some time to add the studs or veins and melt them in well, and my poor elbow has already been through a painful bout of epicondylitis :confounded:

The T-handles have been really popular, but I can only add them to narrow-necked plugs/probes. I wish I could form the base of the thick plugs into a T but I haven’t found a way that looks good and is easily done yet. I agree, the larger sized plugs have quite a big round base on them that might not be comfortable for some folks, especially if they’re wanting to keep it in for long periods.

I offer the T-handle as an option on many pieces, the one on the banner at the moment is a catalog item. I plan to organize the website better and separate the products into subcategories for easier viewing, I just had to scramble when Etsy posted the ban bulletin and get my content migrated over asap. You can use the search though if you’re looking for a specific style, and all sizes will show. Not every option has its own separate listing, so be sure to check the variants of each item in their listing.

Ryan, is there any way you can craft a piece approximately 1.75” in diameter with texture?

If not, do you have a balled glass dildo with approximately the same 1.75” diameter?

Looking for recommendations to satisfy her 1.75” sweet spot.

Unfortunately, no. The largest balled dildo I offer has a 1 5/8" head followed by slightly smaller balls. This is the limit I can comfortable make by hand while keeping the balls symmetrical.

It’s very interesting to get a tiny glimpse behind the scene of glass toy making. Of course there are physical limitations, but as a life long consumer, things like glass toys just exist or didn’t exist for me, not knowing why.
