Colt1911 Community Member has mentioned testosterone for women (to increase libido after menopause) a couple of times, for example most recently:
The hormone that controls a woman’s libido is testosterone. My 67 year old wife is on hormone therapy that includes testosterone and is the reason why we became anal only 7 years ago. Your wife may want to seek hormone therapy that includes testosterone.
So, my questions are: Have other women in this forum tried this? And what form of testosterone was used (pills, creams, injections, etc.)? And lastly, what dosage level was appropriate for that individual.
I understand that “everybody’s mileage will differ” and “only use in consultation with and monitoring by a properly trained health professional”.
I am just curious how widespread this method is for increasing post-menopausal libido.
Comprehensive hormone replacement therapy for women includes testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone.
My wife has a pellet injection in her hip every 3 months. The pellets (I don’t know the dosage) contain testosterone and estrogen and are slowly dissolved and released into the bloodstream. She takes progesterone capsules daily.
Dosage is based entirely on bloodwork. Pellets are a convenience to avoid testosterone injections or creams. My wife injects me with testosterone 2x per week. I hand her the syringe and tell her it’s time she sticks it in my ass.
When we moved my wife found a different HRT provider. She reduced the amount of testosterone which reduced how much and often my wife squirts during anal play and penetration. I miss that aspect as she would soak the bed during anal sessions. She still squirts a little, but not to the extent she did before.
HRT has made a huge positive difference in both of our lives. In addition to improved libido, HRT can result in improved sleep, mood, increase in muscle mass, and energy. It literally woke her libido and helped her understand her G-spot is actually her A-spot, and is located deep in her rectum.
