I was wondering what I could do as challenge in August. I am mostly AO (passive). Are you doing any challenges currently? I am open for any ideas. Thanks!
I was thinking about trying a challenge this month as well. I’m not as experienced as others in this forum, so I think I’m going to commit to anal only masturbation every time I shower this month.
Getting my girl to enjoy anal regularly has been a process. When I read about anal only August years ago, I proposed the idea and she agreed. Come September we would add vaginal back to the mix, but it was a great experience for both of us and opened our minds to the idea that this could be a regular thing. Now it is.
If you and your partner have never done anal only August, you are missing out.
Anal only August and every other month here lol
And anal only FOREVER here!
That’s an interesting one. How is it going so far? I think I will try that in September maybe.
I am currently doing a daily butt plug challange in August. I already failed 2 times but I will keep trying.
It’s going well! Some sessions are longer than others, but I haven’t taken a shower this month yet without something going in my butt as well.
It was on the old forum I believe where someone commented on the struggle. The struggle to know if your partner will be up for anal, am I asking too much, does she think I’m weird, etc.
Our first anal only August was so freeing for that very reason. It is not discussed, it is just what we do during August. Although we are mostly anal, it is still a fantastic feeling this month.
I thought I’d give a quick update here with just over a week to go in the month. I have stuck to the challenge and played with my asshole with every shower. I’ve been pretty strict keeping it anal only, and it’s definitely showing benefits, both in terms of my stretch and in increasing my arousal without needing to touch my clit.
One thing I am learning is that water-based lube doesn’t do great in the shower. I’m thinking about trying one of the homemade recipes I’ve found on this forum, my toy is silicone so silicone-based lubes are out. That or I could get a different toy, but finances aren’t super high right now!
Coconut oil is cheap and works well. It will not wash away easily like water based lube, but will once you wash with soap and water.
They make hybrid lubes that claim to be safe for silicone toys. We don’t use this so I can’t say if their claims are true.
Thanks for the tip, I hadn’t heard of hybrid formulas.
I agree about coconut oil, etc. I need to find a wholesale source – I am tired of using up the “normal” size bottles. ![]()
The only downside in the shower is the user (or the next person going into the shower) slipping and falling.
Somewhere on this forum (or maybe it was the old forum) there was a good discussion of coconut oil, including the different types (how it is processed). There is definitely one type that is better. If I can track down that discussion, I will work on synthesizing a new discussion pulling together all the info I can find from various sources.
I also have been thinking about doing the same for J-LUBE (water soluble and extremely slippery, used by veterinarians for large-animal exams, etc. – and apparently very popular in the gay community). I don’t know if it is sold outside the U.S., but within the U.S. one may have to obtain it from a veterinarian-related source (I will be happy to privately share source info – the seller does not want to “advertise”) because the manufacturer does not want it sold to the “human” market, even though it is apparently very safe in proper and normal use (but dangerous if it were to get into the body cavity – but if that happens, the person has much bigger problems).
I believe you may be referring to fractionated coconut oil. This “refined” coconut oil remains in a liquid state at room temp and refrigeration.
The drawback is that it is an oil and potentially harmful to silicone toys. It can also stain sheets and clothing but I assume those stains can be washed out.
Hope the link below is helpful.
Hi Colt,
I had never heard that coconut can harm silicone toys – and I cannot detect any damage to our silicone toys (but we have only been using coconut oil for about three years).
Though I had googled about three years ago did not find any information suggesting a problem with coconut oi and silicone, I just googled again on the question and this time I immediately find about 50-50 results of “yes a problem” VS “no not a problem”.
(The only clear result, which I have known for many years, is not to use silicone oil on silicone toys.)
So, now I don’t know what to think. We need to find a silicone chemistry expert – surely there is one out there somewhere.
Generally speaking, oils and silicone don’t mix. Higher quality silicone (platinum silicone) is less prone to breakdown. Below are some tips from a maker of platinum silicone toys. It indicates coconut oil is safe to use with their platinum silicone.
The warnings I’ve seen is to avoid use of coconut oil with condoms. A thin condom would be more prone to breakdown than a thick silicone toy.
The length of time the toy is exposed to oil may also have an impact on how quickly the toy will break down.
Good call out. Good news for those who like coconut oil. My advice is to always buy the best and safest glass, stainless steel, silicone toys for the vagina or ass.
I had never heard of coconut oil being a problem with silicone toys before either; interesting!
The thing about silicone toys, and toys in general, is that a lot of the time, their manufacturers won’t be the most ethical bunch there is. Don’t get me wrong: Many absolutely are, and they deliver quality toys that are safe for use. But others, well … they might claim their silicone is platinum cured, but that process is more expensive than tin-curing it. And this is where the trouble starts. Tin-cured silicone will break down over time, as byproducts used during the curing process are released.
Even stores I like a lot sometimes sell “silicone” dildos, which is, when you read the reviews “sticky”. Silicone should never be sticky unless you’ve covered it in honey.
So be sure you buy from reputable sellers, not through amazon (they have tons of counterfeits in their product bins) and especially not through aliexpress or the like.
As an aside: I’ve also read, not too long ago, about a poor soul who had and MRI-scan while wearing a butt plug whose manufacturer had claimed it was all silicone. But it had metal core.
Oh, and as for condoms, yes, never mix oil-based lube with latex condoms. Bad idea, the oil breaks down the latex and the condom will break.
I ordered many plugs on Alie express, one of them being her most used. We only use coconut oil, after years of doing this all is fine.
Cole is a good guy, but sometiles be just expresses assumptions as truths, without any experience. Hear say isn’t fact. I have facts: coconut oil is 100% safe with silicone sextoys and Alie express sextoys (if you don’t buy the extremely cheap stuff) are perfect.
I’ve been noticing as long as I buy on Alie Express, that people don’t seem to understand the true way of the manufacturer to buyer process.
Those expensive sextoys you all use, they’re made in China too. You just pay a lot more because some domestic brand let them put their stamp on it and multiplies the sellingprice times 4.
One more thing: My favorite lube is the one I cook myself. It’s incredibly cheap and plentiful.
You can buy xanthan gum, a white powder used as food thickener and in many store-bought lubes, bring 120ml of water to a boil, turn the heat off, add half a tea spoon of xanthan gum (about 2,5ml) and stir vigorously until all clumps are dissolved. You’ll end up with about a tea cup full of a clear, jelly-like substance. You can experiment with how thick you want its consistency to be, or how runny, by adding more or less powder.
It doesn’t last anywhere as long as regular lube (you can’t store it), and I usually throw away what I haven’t used after a play session, but the advantages are the price (I’m still on my first pack of gum after more than five years), the fact that xanthan is the kind of fiber that hardly interacts with the colon in any way, it’s additive free (some people react negatively to the glycerin in most store-bought lubes) and you can quickly make as much of it as you need, while the powder itself takes up next to no space. Since it’s water based, you can also use it with any and all toys.
If you’re not using condoms, you can also add coconut oil to the mix, if you’re so inclined.
I’m very “anal” whenever I buy a toy for Mrs Colt’s ass. Safety is paramount as chemicals are easily absorbed through the rectum and colon… perhaps more so than the vagina.
I prefer to buy from smaller vendors that manufacture these toys as opposed to Amazon and Ali Express that import and sell products of unknown origin.
Like medical grade stainless steel used to make plugs and stainless toys, platinum silicone is the only silicone allowed to be used in food and medical applications in the U.S. and UK. Lesser quality silicones are made from petroleum byproducts, which can leach toxins from the plug or toy into the bloodstream. Below is a link to an explanation of platinum silicone for those who consider opting for toys of lesser quality and materials
What Makes Platinum Silicone So Special : Manufacturing & Application.
Uberrime is an excellent maker of silicone toys.
I’ve purchased two anal dildos for Mrs Colt from this vendor and highly recommend them. They are also willing to do custom work.
I made a mistake regarding the safety of using coconut oil with silicone toys, but I stand by my posts regarding the potential dangers associated with all products inserted in the ass, including glass, metal, silicone, etc.
